Our engineers understand that failure to approve an Authority For Expenditure (AFE) may result in delay or cancellation of the proposed drilling project or subsequent operation. They work with the operator to prepare a project payout schedule, or revenue forecast, cost estimates, and obtain management approval of the AFE during the well planning phase.

As part of our project management services, our engineers work directly with operators and contractors to design and drill oil and gas wells safely and economically. Drilling design includes:

1. Well path (directional drilling plans) according to the reservoir and targets
2. Well programs (e.g., casing sizes and setting depths)
3. Casing strings and cementing plans
4. Drilling fluid, drill string, and bit programs
5. Equipment requirements
6. Cost estimates and analysis

When it comes to cost optimization, our engineers focus on the following:

• Assessing and identifying existing opportunities that can be delivered within a specified timeframe
• Planning and developing revised maintenance, inspection, and testing plans to be delivered in the timescale
• Implementing the revised plans into practice

Our petroleum engineers ensure that oilfield equipment is installed, operated, and maintained properly. They work on different methods to inject water, chemicals, gases, or steam into an oil reserve to force out as much oil or gas possible. Our mud engineers play a vital role in project management as they make adjustments to the drilling mud, supervise the equipment on a rig, and help test for oil and gas. They spend a significant amount of time on-site and have a significant amount of control over the specifications of a drilling plan since they are charged with creating the most effective drilling path through the unique terrain of the area being drilled.

With a deep understanding of reporting systems, including WellView, our drilling consultants provide:

• Well and rig summary information with the date that a well is spudded, abandoned, suspended, and/or handed over to production
• Well schematics showing final well status.
• Time vs depth graph, showing planned vs actual performance
• Final cost breakdown showing planned vs actual costs by category
• A summary of good points from drilling the well
• A summary of areas of concern or problems encountered while drilling the well

Audits are conducted on drilling assets for both drilling contractors and drilling operators to assess the condition of an asset. Inspections are conducted to industry standards, such as API, as well as to specific client requirements. Rig-commissioning services involve ensuring that rig machinery and equipment are functioning properly and are in accordance with the client’s requirements. Audits are usually conducted before the hire of a drilling asset and during the contract. Pre-hire rig audits are aimed at assessing the condition and suitability of the asset for a drilling contract. During the contract, rig inspections assess both the operational condition of the asset and its compliance with the terms of the contract.
